  2. The Priest's Garden, Ingstrup

The Priest's Garden, Ingstrup

Old Vicarage Garden with public access. In addition to shelters with fire pits, the garden also has a pavilion and stage.

The area, which is approximately 20,000 m2, has been taken over by a group of enthusiasts from the city of Ingstrup

,

who in 2023 have established an association named "The Priest's Garden".

Preserving this large scenic area at the former Ingstrup Vicarage is

of crucial importance in order to meet the rapidly increasing need to

accommodate biodiversity and at the same time preserve this unique free space for all living

beings - humans, plants and animals, both now and for future generations.

"The Priest's Garden" gives us just this opportunity. It is a green oasis with trees that

are hundreds of years old and worthy of preservation. A natural lake with a drain towards a

bog area - §3 area and a burial mound connected to a path.

Here is a rare place where nature is allowed to unfold in its own pace and

rhythm. It is a place we want/must cherish extra much. The combination of these

elements piques our natural curiosity and opens up for exploration, play and,

not least, inner peace and well-being.

Our goal is to preserve and expand "Præstens Have" as a refuge for

biodiversity and free space for everyone who uses the area.

We want to create a good, recreational and educational environment for both the locals,

Ingstrup Trivselsskole's many students and the many visitors.

The well-being school's academic nature and technology already use the area, but there is a lack of

accommodation in connection with learning and immersion.

With these voluntary efforts regarding nature communication, focus is placed on the importance of

sustainable development, where we consciously want to inspire and engage everyone in taking responsibility

for our environment.
